Monthly Writing Challenge for Christian Authors

Monthly Writing Challenge for Christian AuthorsDo you want to make more progress on your book this year?   Want some accountability and encouragement in your writing journey?  If so, you might be interested in our monthly writing challenge for Christian authors.

Each month CrossReads will be hosting a monthly writing challenge moderated by Pauline Creeden. As authors ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to continue to make progress on our books. Work, family and life in general can easily crowd out writing time. However, we have found that having an accountability group and a writing challenge can help!

How to Enter:

1.) All CrossReads members can enter.  You can sign up for a free membership here.

2.)  You agree to write at least 10,000 words on your current WIP (work in progress).  This doesn’t have to be 10k words on one book – you can actually be working on more than one book project throughout the month.  You simply need to complete 10k words total for the month.

3.) We will start a new thread for each month in our forum. To enter the writing contest, simply comment on that month’s thread introducing yourself and the book you are working on. If you don’t have a book title yet or prefer not to share your title, simply share whether it is a nonfiction or fiction book you are working on.

4.) Come back to the thread throughout the month and encourage each other and/or share about the progress you have made.

5.) We will post a Rafflecopter widget where you can confirm that you did finish 10,000 words. At the same time, this will enter you to win our grand prize at the end of the month. The prizes will be listed in each thread.

Earn Badges

And each month you can earn a new badge to post about your progress!  Here are a few examples…

That’s it! There is no obligation to join us every month, but we would love it if you would. And just think…if you join this challenge each month, by the end of the year you will have written 120,000 words!

Enjoy and Happy Writing!
