I’m Glad You’re Here

I’m Glad You’re Here

by Precarious Yates

How many of us have felt like we’re in the way? Like we’re unwelcome or unwanted? Maybe you’re in your car and can just sense that driver behind you, who’s driving much closer to your bumper than is safe, and you can sense the thoughts in their heads. I wish this person didn’t exist.

Maybe your childhood was filled with neglect. You constantly had the sense you weren’t wanted.

Perhaps you made a mistake at work and overheard a colleague say, “If she wasn’t here, it’d be better.”

People so often think and spout off careless, insensitive, and hateful words. Some of us are surrounded by people who do this way too often.

I want to tell you that YOU have been equipped to change this! How?

When God looks at you, He smiles. He adores you. His thoughts toward you are a continuous stream of, “I’m glad I made this one!”

In that revelation, you can speak blessings over those who gush the careless words. Whether they hear you speak or not, you can still bring transformation with words of blessings.

16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16

“God, bless that one with the revelation of your love!”

“God, bless her with peace as she drives, even if there’s a storm in her life.”

“God, bless him with patience for others, and bless the work of his hands.”

When we speak blessings, a new atmosphere radiates out of us: the atmosphere of heaven! When people encounter that atmosphere, they will hear the whisper of their Father, “I’m glad you’re here.”

20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ~ Hebrews 13:20-21
