Authors, thanks for signing up with CrossReads.

As a CrossReads author, you have certain privileges such as posting and conversing with readers (as well as all the other great opportunities in the Author's Area).

We absolutely want and encourage you to share about your books, blogs, career, and life. The whole point of the site is to help Christian readers find great authors and help Christian authors find awesome readers.

However, our intent is not to bombard our readers with constant spam-like ads for books. Yes, we talk books, and we want to give you every opportunity we can to get your message out there.

To find that balance, here are some simple rules about posting in the Reader's Realm that you need to familiarize yourself with and follow--not doing so can and will get you banned from the CrossReads forums.

Please respect and follow the following rules for posting in the Reader's Realm. Not complying will garner you a warning. Repeated offenses will result in your CrossReads membership being revoked.

#1 DO NOT post in the Reader's Room. This is for READERS ONLY.

#2 Read the posting policies for the other forums carefully. On some you can post once a day. On others once a week. On others once per book. Respect those policies.

#3 Be respectful and kind to everyone on the forums whether you agree with them or not. This is not a place for personal, political, or denominational rants. Extend the grace and respect you would like to be afforded. If there is a particular situation that you find offensive or troubling please Contact the CrossReads Team, and we will decide what to do about it.

#4 Do not in any way disrespect another author on a forum. If you disagree, that's fine, but don't flame them or undermine them in public.

#5 Membership at CrossReads (even paid) is a privilege not a right. The CrossReads Team reserves the right to revoke membership privileges for any reason it deems necessary including but not limited to breaking any of these policies, flaming or other offensive acts or posts, excessive posting in any forum beyond the limits posted, or spamming the forum with "ads."

So basically, it's like you learned in Kindergarten:
Be respectful, play nice, follow the rules, and have fun!

The CrossReads Team
