No way to subscribe to the forum to get new messages

I find this forum useless because I cannot subscribe and get a chance to respond to new messages and comments. The daily digest is absolutely unusable because I have no idea what any of the updates are unless I stop working and go to this website. That will not happen. I have too many sites to keep up with. My workflow does not allow me to add one which I cannot use with email.

    David,
I am sorry you have had a hard time navigating our forums. There is definitely a learning curve.

And there actually is a way to subscribe to a forum or a thread. I created a FAQ about it here: http://crossreads.com/community/show...um-or-a-Thread

If you have any other questions, let us know!
    Blessings to you!

I can subscribe to a thread, but I can only do it in a digest. So I get a cryptic email a day later which doesn't even tell me what is being discussedójust that there is a new reply of some kind. On Christianwriters.com I get evry reply once I say I'm interested, that way I can get involved in a discussion. I know it's my problem, but I don't have time to check out replies which are likely to be irrelevant to my needs or to my ability to help.

As you can see from this response, if I get an email I can respond. Also, the Quick Reply takes me off the page and I lose what I have written.

David, there should be a way to subscribe and receive an immediate reply. I am able to do so. I will have Heather Bixler who is our programmer look into this.
    Blessings to you!

Are you subscribing via "thread tools" or "forum tools?" I know if you click on the specific thread, then "thread tools", you can choose instant notifications. Let me know if that helps!
