About the Book

Just out of college and completely alone in the world, Maggie Montgomery has one shot left to save her life from an abyss of poverty and hopelessness. Clinging to the last shred of fuel and hope, she arrives at the mansion of Texas billionaire Conrad Ayer. Although Maggie is clearly not what Mr. Ayer and his wife have in mind for a nanny, they agree to hire her temporarily until they can find someone more appropriate to fill the position. However, Maggie’s whole world is about to be up-ended by two way-over-scheduled children and one incredibly handsome hired hand. As she struggles to fit into a world she was never made to fit in, Maggie wonders if she can ever learn to become a perfect version of herself so she can keep the job, or is she doomed to always be searching for a life she can never quite grasp?

Keith Ayer despises his life. As the son of Texas billionaire Conrad Ayer and the fiance to a Senator from Texas’ daughter, it looks great on the outside, but inside, he is dying. He would vastly prefer to manage and train his father’s racehorses. However, everyone else thinks that is beneath him. He needs to get into industry and build on his father’s success. Suffocating under the constrictions of his life, he meets Maggie, and she begins to teach him that wealth and power is not everything in this life. But can Keith defy the two most powerful men in Texas to follow his heart?

  1. "Grampy" Lee Ashford :

I assume this is where to leave a blog post? I actually have my original Kindle Keyboard, a Kindle Touch, a Kindle Fire HD, and a Nook. All told, I have over 15,000 ebooks either on a device or stored in “the Cloud”. If I read over 300 books a year, I’ll finish them sometime before my 107th birthday… IF I never download another book between now and then! Granted, many are reference books on health issues and Christian living, but my general taste in fiction has evolved quite a bit since I got my first Kindle, so a lot of the earlier books I loaded I will never read. I’m kinda hoping God will let me keep my Kindle Fire in Heaven, but I’m sure I’ll not be bored if He doesn’t!

    • barbara corbitt :

i love the way you think! i am like you, i love to read, just cant afford books or ereaders on less than four hundred dollars monthly for disability. i also have bloggers who give me fabric to make charity quilts. i have quilted for over forty years and all my quilts are hand pieced and hand quilted and donated to charity. enjoy all your books and who knows, maybe God has a library already waiting for you!. blessins, barbara

  2. I have around 2100 Kindle ebooks + what I’ve received as gifts from authors.

  3. Not quite sure buy at least 1500 or more

  4. I have several readers on my ipad. Between them, I have probably 150 or so.

  5. barbara corbitt :

i dont have an ereader of any kind, but wish i did. i really love to read but with an income of less than four hundred dollars monthly for disability, books or ereaders are not an option financially. i have several serious health issues and spend time a lot of time in the hospital and this would be perfect to take with me. thank you so much for a great giveaway.

  6. Carolyn Colley :

I don’t have a reader, this would be an awesome win.

  7. Debbie Griffith :

I’d like to first thank you for offering such a great giveaway!! I think I have roughly 100 books or so on my Kindle. I add each book I’ve finished to a “Read in 20**” collection so I can keep track of how many books I read each year. Then I delete them from my Kindle the first day of the new year…change the year number and then start fresh again as I finish each book. This year I’m trying to read books that I have the full series of and once I’ve completed each series I want to start on another new series. At least that is my goal, I’ll just have to wait and see if it really works out that way! Lol
