Title: The Rose Ring

Author: Lucie Ulrich

Rating: 5 Star

About the Book

With a will that reads like a piece of fiction, the return of his long-lost brother, and the possibility of losing the family ranch, Micah Cooper calls on high school friend, Sky Baxter, to bail him out of a bad situation.

Though her brain tells her no, Sky’s heart says yes. She accepts Micah’s in-name-only proposal, knowing it’s unlikely anything permanent will come of it. She’s been in love with him since the ninth grade, and if he hasn’t figured it out by now, there’s little chance he ever will.

When an unexpected kiss ignites a spark, giving Micah hope for a possible future with Sky, a tragic accident threatens to take it all away. Torn between following his heart, doing the right thing, and forgiving the past, Micah is lost in a whirlwind of pain and emotions. Will he make it through the next two years, or will a long-kept family secret be the undoing of the Cooper family? (or… be the undoing of all of them?)

Five Stars Aren’t Enough!
Lucie Ulrich doesn’t just tell us a story, she brings us into the story! There wasn’t a moment, while reading this book, that I didn’t feel a connection to all the characters. I felt their pain and joy, their confusion and relief….It is a story about love and loss, tragedy and forgiveness, inspiration and faith. You’ll be teary-eyed many times throughout the story, so keep a box of tissues close by. And you’ll become so attached to these characters that you’ll be better for it! I found myself becoming so completely involved in the story that I just refused to accept the fact that there could be anything but a happy ending! It is emotional, inspiring and unforgettable. This will be a book I will pick up again and again and will recommend it to everyone I can. I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review and will be forever thankful. Please, please pick up this book! Lucie Ulrich is an insightful and brilliant storyteller and will keep you captivated from start to finish.

About the Book

Furious with God, Olivia Roseman vows to never trust Him again. Why should she? Once again her prayers have gone unanswered, and once again another loved one has been ripped from her. With no job and only a few dollars, Olivia makes a choice to start over again. Without God and without love. However, her handsome new boss isn’t going to make forgetting God or keeping her vow to never love again very easy. Erik Cole questions the sanity of his moving from Swamper City, Alabama to Charity, West Virginia. That is, until he hires airbrush designer Olivia Roseman to paint his monster truck. When he senses that she’s a gal who is down on her luck, he vows to do whatever he can to help her. Only problem is, the little beauty creates more challenges than one. As his feelings toward her deepen, all Erik can do is hope and pray that one day Olivia will open up her heart to Christ—and to him.

From the Book

The truth was Erik could get used to having her around. While he wasn’t in love with Olivia, he was very attracted to her—and not just physically. There was something about her that drew him. Maybe it was because she seemed lost and alone. Or maybe it was the playful side of her when she knew no one was paying attention. Whatever it was, as he treaded water and watched her swimming, he knew he wanted to pursue it and find out. He also sensed that he needed to go slow and just be her friend first. Plus, he wasn’t sure how his being her boss would affect a relationship with her. He needed to be careful to not cross over that line. As she swam froggie-style toward him, one look at her beautiful turquoise eyes and he realized that wasn’t going to be easy.

Erik’s imagination took over. He pictured Olivia swimming up to him and putting her soft hands on his shoulders. He pulled her into his arms, their eyes locked and held there until his attention drifted to her mouth. Water beads covered her lips. Lips he longed to feel against his own. In slow motion, he leaned his head toward her until their parted mouths met in a warm, wet kiss. Her soft lips played with his, consuming him until…

“What’re you doing?” Olivia’s unknowing, innocent question yanked Erik back to reality.

Good grief, man. What’s wrong with you lately? And what is it about her that has you fantasizing about kissing her? He chanced a quick glance into Olivia’s eyes just an arm length away in front of him, wondering how he was going to answer her question.

Title: Nowhere For Christmas

Author: Heather Gray

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

About the Book

“Nowhere For Christmas” is a wonderfully funny and sweet story about a journalist who is sent to capture a human interest story for Christmas. Along for the ride is her teenage son, and has-been photojournalist who fell from fame and is now working for a nondescript newspaper.

This is a laugh out loud story — the LOL abbreviation won’t do — “Nowhere For Christmas” has full-bodied humor. Heather Gray is an expert storyteller and she has a knack for creating characters that spring from the pages of her books into the reader’s heart. The romance in the book is sweet, but I especially enjoyed the interaction between Avery and her son, Eli. A couple of the minor characters caught my attention and interest as well. This book left a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart.

Do You Believe Me?

Do You Believe Me?

“Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Right on Jesus’ heels as He enters a home, two blind men cry out…

“Son of David, have mercy on us!”

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
Jesus asks. (Matt. 9:28 NLKV)

“Yes, Lord!”

“According to your faith will it be done to you.”
(Matt. 9:29 NIV)

When your heart shatters in agony from loss or grief, and My Word says I will comfort you…

“Do you believe I can do it?”
(Matt. 9:28 Phillips)

When illness strikes you or a loved one and you don’t know where to turn…

“Do you believe that I can do this?”
(God’s Word Translation)

When your child runs away from home or becomes addicted to drugs and you need peace…

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

When the breadwinner of your household loses his or her job, putting your home in jeopardy, and you struggle needing Me to fix it…

“Do you have faith that I can do this?”

When your spouse walks out on you and the kids and you ask Me for help…

“Do you really believe I can do this?”

When you experience a trial or tragedy and My Word says I will be with you…

“Do you believe that I have the power to do this?”
(Complete Jewish Bible)

What kind of healing do you need? Emotional? Physical? Mental? Financial? Relational? Spiritual?

“It will happen for you just as you have believed.”

“Do you really believe I can do this?”

Do you say, “Yes, Lord”?
